how it works

The Process

I use the Gallup Strengthsfinder Assessment to create a structure for discussion. The assessment provides common terminology for describing talents and strengths. It may also help clients place descriptive labels on talents they may not have acknowledged, or adequately exercised. Then we identify and clarify goals, and develop a strategy to help you take the next step, or steps, toward success.

I would enjoy meeting you to hear your story. There is no cost or assumed commitment by either party for the initial consultation. If I think I can help you, I will lay out a plan and cost that fits your circumstance. You can then decide if you want to proceed.  No harm done if you don't.  I'm like a kid.  I like hearing stories.

My method follows a three-phase process that can be expanded or customized, depending upon your need. The process is anchored in the following simple questions.

1. Who are you?

2. Where have you been?

3. Where do you want to go?

After completion of the three phases, you will receive a written report summarizing my assessment  and a strategic plan created by you. This strategic  plan will incorporate your strengths and desires, so you will be motivated to implement it. You may choose addtional coaching or to engage other consultants I can recommend, depending on your personal or business needs.

The process for teams follows the same steps. The time commitment  and the sessions' emphasis will be customized to the goals of the team leader.

Services

Coaching

As a  coach, I help you assess your situation, much like the coach of a football team at halftime. My goal is to help you succeed in the game, based upon the skills you possess, and my knowledge of how the game is played.  I can also help measure your progress and and adjust your game plan after each game, or life stage.  It can really help to have a person looking out for your best interest, who is available to help you debrief, away from the noise of the crowd.

Consulting

When I use the term "consulting", I mean bringing in a team to help you in areas of need where you may not be as naturally gifted or experienced. Even "individual" athletes have trainers and financial advisors that free them up to do what they do best, so they can be more effective.

Capital

For start-up opportunities with teams or individuals who are willing to submit to strengths assessment, strategy planning, and team development, I have investors who may supply seed money for business opportunities.
